Female Volunteers Required

Volunteers are the backbone of our organisation and it is their commitment and support, which allows our service to continue. All volunteers undertake an Enhanced Disclosure Scotland check prior to acceptance for training. If you are over 18 years of age and have time to give (normally 3 hours weekly), we would really like to hear from you.

Helpline
The telephone Helpline is in service 4 times a week. The aim of the Helpline is to provide free and confidential information and support to the caller. To listen to and empower them, to explain and inform, support choices and decisions made by the survivor and to be sure that their individual needs are being met. We offer long or short-term face-to-face and telephone support at a convenient time and place. We also offer support and information to family and friends of survivors.

Call Us Now
Volunteers undertake an intensive 20 weeks training and education programme at the Centre and following completion of training, regular monthly meetings provide a forum, which allows volunteers the opportunity to share insights and mutual support.

Following training, volunteers will be required to give a commitment of 6 months (minimum) and are given the opportunity to undertake relevant, varied ongoing training and to attend various conferences and seminars. Out of pocket expenses are paid. Volunteers are also encouraged to assist within all aspects of CSRC&SAC service provision.

If you have skills you'd like to put to work for the benefit of your community, please contact - 01786 446887 during normal office hours, or leave a message.
